E-Nail
E-Nail is an electronic way of exchanging ideas and advice concerning nail disease for people in Europe and around the world. It is for use by clinicians caring for those with nail disease. Any activity of this kind has to follow rules that ensure patient privacy and consent. The comment made by the recipient of the E-Nail enquiry is limited due to the restrictions of the medium. Full responsibility for the patient remains with the clinician sending the enquiry. The default recipient of E-Nail enquiries lies with organising members of the board of the European Nail Society.
E-Nail cases are reviewed each year at the European Nail Society meeting of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. Please remember to tick the box if you are happy for us to show your case the ask the audience for their view.
E-Nail Rules:
- do not send material which allows patient identification by a third party
- ask your patient if they are happy that the images will be shown to other dermatologists
- remember that you retain all responsibility for the patient's treatment
- recipients of e-Nail images will only use them as part of e-Nail
